Pope Francis has invited the bishops and faithful of the world to join him in the consecration of Russia and of Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary this Friday, March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation. To consecrate a nation or nations is to entrust their peoples and this situation of war to the particular intercession of our Blessed Mother for peace.
We are encouraged, even if we don't take part in the Consecration prayer service, to dedicate your personal prayer, your own times of fasting, and/or almsgiving to participating with Blessed Mary in her intercession for hearts to turn to peace in the weeks to come.
You can direct your almsgiving to support those suffering in this war securely online at: https://support.crs.org/donate/donate-ukraine. Please be sure to write "Ukraine Aid" in the Special Request section. Send checks to: Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21297-0303. Please write on the check "Ukraine Aid."
