St. Columbkille donates to the Dubuque Community Food Pantry and the St. Joseph The Worker Food Pantry. At St. Joseph the Worker, the parish maintains a small food pantry through which they provide non-perishable food and health care products to parishioners and those in the Dubuque area who are in need. Parishioners supply the pantry through donations of food and dry goods.
St. Columbkille collects food for these pantries the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH. There is a basket for donations in the main vestibule of St. Joseph The Worker. Specific needs are listed in the parish bulletin at St. Joseph The Worker.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
WE ARE CALLED to serve Jesus in the poor. Jesus said: “I assure you, as often as you did it for one of my least brothers or sisters, you did it for me.” Matthew 25:40.
This is a reminder to consider bringing food donations for the poor in our Dubuque community, to Mass on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH. The amount we have received has been decreasing in recent months, but the need is increasing due to changes in federal programs.
St. Columbkille takes food to the Dubuque Food Pantry and the St. Joseph The Worker Food Pantry on alternating months. Both of them distribute to anyone asking for assistance.
