WE ARE CALLED to serve Jesus in the poor. Jesus said: “I assure you, as often as you did it for one of my least brothers or sisters, you did it for me.” Matthew 25:40.
This is a reminder to consider bringing food donations for the poor in our Dubuque community, to Mass on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH. The amount we have received has been decreasing in recent months, but the need is increasing due to changes in federal programs.
St. Columbkille takes food to the Dubuque Food Pantry and the St. Joseph The Worker Food Pantry on alternating months. Both of them distribute to anyone asking for assistance.
We invite you to bring protein-rich foods, canned meat, fruit, vegetables, soups and stews, peanut butter, cereals and powdered milk for the needy.
PLEASE ONLY USE THE NEW BLUE BAGS, donated by Mark & Mary Nauman, in memory of her parents, Ron & Marge Larson.
