It’s easy to join!
Have you registered in our Parish? Please do not take your Church membership for granted. Attending Mass is not enough; there must be an official record of your membership in the Parish.
As a new member, we welcome your active participation in the life of our community and challenge you to deepen your relationship with God, make spiritual growth a priority, and join a ministry or small group to feel a sense of belonging. We have many volunteers who are ready to welcome you into the parish family of St. Columbkille.
WELCOMING AND NEWCOMER INFO
RCIA - BECOMING A CATHOLIC
We are a community working in unison on our journey of stewardship as a way of life. As Christian stewards, “we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cherish and tend them in a responsible manner, share them in justice and love with others, and return them with an increase to God.” (Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response USCCB). We value the gifts of time, talent, and treasure that are generously shared by all of our members. The gifts with which you have been blessed may be a perfect match to one of the many ministries and activities of St. Columbkille. You will find many opportunities to learn, grow, give, and celebrate within our community of faith.
A Parish membership is essential for many reasons. If there is no record of your Church membership, it could be quite embarrassing for us, for you, and for your family if you are trying to make wedding plans, baptize a child, or serve as a sponsor for baptism or confirmation. The Church requires an official registry.
If you have not yet officially registered with our Parish, please do so as soon as possible. All you have to do is contact the Parish Office at the number listed below. It will take only a few minutes to complete the process and fulfill the Church requirement. Please, also, take a moment to introduce yourself and your family to Fr. Gabriel after Mass. We are always happy to meet our new parishioners. Thank you for your participation. May God Bless YOU!!
If you would like to register, click on the link below to print out a form, or contact Sue at the Parish Office, 563-583-9117.

New member events are scheduled four times per year. (Quarterly) These informal events are designed to give you an opportunity to meet other community members and staff members as well as provide a chance to learn about some of the programs and ministries offered at St. Columbkille.
During the newcomers welcoming, we offer Hospitality Sunday in Presentation Hall following the 10:00 AM Mass (first Sunday of the month). You will enjoy coffee, donuts, and fellowship and many times we have special programs or speakers for you as well. You will have the opportunity to meet other newcomers, share a little about your family and socialize with long time parishioners!
Fr. Gabriel would love to meet you and discuss your membership in our parish! For additional information, contact the parish office, 563-583-9117. The office staff will make sure Father gets all your information so he can schedule a time to meet with you! You are also always welcome to visit with Fr. Gabriel after Mass about parish membership!
(You can also print the registration form out and hand it to Father Gabriel after Mass or mail it to the address below!)
