WHAT CAN ST. COLUMBKILLE
DO FOR YOU?
OUR Parish Mission Statement
We, the Christian community of St. Columbkille Parish, conscious of our mission within the Roman Catholic Church, commit ourselves to be a living sign of God’s welcoming and loving presence. We will answer our call to give praise, worship, and thanks to our heavenly Father, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed, and to grow in holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit. United in that same Spirit, we will upbuild one another in faith, joyfully sharing the diverse gifts among us and prayerfully serving the spiritual and temporal needs of our parish, community, and world.
Dear Parishioners,
As Americans we treasure our freedom! Alimighty God, the true anuthor of liberty, gave us a free will. We, “The People of God” are called to employ our free will for the good of others as a sign of God’s goodness to us. Jesus Christ invites us ever more deeply into a life of gratitude, freely serving as Good Samaritans. Indeed America has been built by the grace of God working through generations of generous families.
Jesus calls us, the neighborhoods of St. Columbkille, to be Good Samaritans to all we meet. Families of faith are the building blocks of our country and our Church. On the journey of life, Good Samaritans meet suffering with compassion, difficulties with faith and the future with a commitment to love. The holy virtues are the essential to living as good American citizens!
As we celebrate 125 years of living faith at St. Columbkille, let us be active neighborhood leaders, by being a good example, to those around us!
May Almighty God Bless your families of faith,
Fr. Gabriel Anderson
