Welcome to St. Columbkille in cyberspace!
Father Gabriel Anderson
Pastor, St. Columbkille

You are visitor:

I want to show My children the great devotion I have for them. I reside in tabernacles all over the world. I do this because I desire My children to have a living Christ in their midst. Such holiness is available to all souls who visit and venerate Me in the Eucharist. I am the cure for every ill. I am the calm for every storm. I am the comfort for every sorrow. Because I intend to lead My children in a more enhanced way, I am going to show you the Life that is enclosed in each tabernacle. My dear ones, if you but knew the value of each and every visit that is made to Me here, there would be crowds all through every day and every night. It is this crowd of souls I invite now. Adore Me in the Eucharist as I teach you about love. I am here, waiting in the tabernacle to thank you and encourage you. My children, I am holding you in My arms. I am rocking you gently. Many times throughout the day, I want you to stop what you are doing for a brief moment and close your eyes. I will momentarily soothe your soul with that very same gentleness and, if only for a moment, you will know the sleep of peace. You will be fully aware in your senses, of course, but your soul will rest in complete union with Me and your entire being will be restored and balanced. My children, this is how I intend to keep you at peace.
I, your Jesus, am waiting for you!
Eucharistic Adoration is EVERY Friday
7:30 AM-5:00 PM
at St. Columbkille

A MESSAGE FROM FATHER GABRIEL
In many of the passages of Scripture, Jesus passed by and those who became aware of His presence were attracted to Him. In our case, you are passing by in cyberspace! We appreciate that you want to know more about Jesus. We want to open the door and invite you to spend some time discovering the Kingdom of God!
A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR PARISH
The Irish Catholic families in Little Dublin of Dubuque, desired to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in their own humble neighborhood. Here the Presentation Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary taught the knowledge and love of God since 1879. Archbishop Hennessy established this parish under the holy patronage of St. Columbkille on May 24, 1887. As our parish grew, the present church was built in 1904 with St. Patrick and St. Brigid honored in beautiful stained glass. The painted designs are Celtic and the cornerstone was the gift of Bishop O’Donnell of Raphoe, Ireland, of the same lineage as St. Columbkille.
Please spend some time viewing our Web Site to learn more about what our Parish has to offer.
